Preparations for the 2019 Grammy Awards are underway and the nominations are here!

Impressive nominations yet the competition appears to be very stiff this time, however, some of our favs are nominated in several categories. Cardi B bagged five nominations, Beyonce and Jay Z are nominated in two categories, Kendrick Lamar and the Black Panther clan are nominated in three categories, and Childish Gambino is nominated in two categories.

Singing duo, ChloexHalle bag their first Grammy nomination in two categories and they will battle it out with the likes of Dua Lipa, H.E.R, Jorja Smith and Bebe Rexha in the Best New Artist category. Seun Kuti is set to represent the Nigerian heritage at the Grammys as he is nominated in the Best World Music category

The annual recording academy music awards usually take place within the first three months of a new year and that hasn’t changed. The 61st Grammy Awards is set to take place on the 10th of February, 2019 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
